Capt. Balatti is delighted to report that the album has been broadcast on perhaps our favourite radio programme of the land of pizzas and mandolins where we live, battiti on Radio Rai Tree. Extremely entertaining night time program on new musics which often accompanies our nightime ramblings and vintage volvo return trips from concerts.
Here’s the evidence:
Dear friends and comrades
Here’s a new, excellent little review of our humble musical efforts, appeared on UK’s fRoots current issue.
Yours truly this time is very well chuffed for being described as the finest Italian Irish flute player (huge achievement since we are maybe 20?) and being compared to a leading Irish Prosecco exporter. A rather farcical comparison which we happen to enjoy tremendously!
yet another triumph for team Balatti.
The world will be ours, it’s only a matter of time!
New review coming in from German folk magazine “Folker”!
I do not understand a single word of it but I think it should be excellent.
I think we can confidently mark this down as yet another triumph for the Balatti boys!
onwards and upwards!
Good morning cherubs!
here we have a new, fantastic review of “The Northern Breeze” which had just been published in the current issue of “Il Letimbro”, the local newspaper from the capitol city in the world: Savona, where yours truly was born and bred. I am extremely pleased to see that the volvo made an appeareance on local papers, excellent!
Howdy ladies and gents!
Capt. Balatti is just back at the headquarters after a fantastic weekend in Ennis co. Clare.
The Northern Breeze album has been launched in Ireland as well now!
Myself and the viking princess Mike Bryan had a ball! Fantastic weekend of irish tradology and craicology 😉
props to the Ennis Trad Festival committee for putting up such a great event.
We were happy and honored of being joined on stage by an old friend and excellent muso from co. Clare, Seanie McGrath on bodhran.
Here’s some pics of the weekend by our good friend, guitarist and photographer Alistair Cassidy. You can check some more of his photo work on his website www.abcassidyphotography.com or on facebook

seanie on bodhran
yours truly and the balatti boys
and here’s a pic from the after launch party at the world famous ennis trad festival “trad disco”! right after the launch yours truly embarked on a quite remarkable 12 hrs long gin and tonic drinking shift. on the left the italin piper and pipemaker Daniele Bicego, and on the right the lifestyle guru with a vodka and redbull on one hand and a pint of beer under the elbow!
onwards and upwards!
Dear all, capt. Balatti is pleased to let you know that two tracks from the Northern Breeze are #144 and #145 in the iTunes UK world music charts! We can definitely mark this out as a triumph I’d say! It’s only a matter of time and UK will be invaded and conquered hahaha!
